Re: Trentfield the official thread
Well Eilis arrived eventually, think she does it on purpose to make an entrance, found a realy nice pub walking distance roast beef or turkey meal £5.95 or £6 with a drink 5p a pint got to be cheap, may not bother cooking at all while we are here, steak and ale pie tonight £6.95 and the pub is so quiet, well it was till we arrived try to sort the first pictures today.
At the moment the wind has dropped and its dry, just made first use of the showers, very nice and free just came as a shock never expected a power shower.

Re: Trentfield the official thread
The meal was great, it's a lovely little pub, and the site is really nice too.
Weather is good and the sun is shining, it's really quite warm Eilis now has her awning up and we had a few drinks last night.

Seasonal sports suggestion.
While out on walk take sticks to throw or just forage then you will have the requisites for a conker challenge.
Just the thing for after the barbecue and having had too much wine.

Nancy spotted a conker tree yesterday, she did think it was a pear tree though
We have been a bit lazy Kevin and who can blame us........... a great meal for just under £6 and you get a drink with that too
John also approves of the pudding menu. The problem is with free internet access he is still waiting for breakfast to start

Which knowing us will probably turn out to be between 3-4! The difficult bit is factoring in lunch because Nigel is diabetic he can't go to long without eating so we sometimes have to delay leaving or stop en route. Will be there ASAP though!

Re: Trentfield the official thread
Every one has arrived safely and set up yesterday, nice to meet Jayne,Nigel,John, and Pat for the first time,we all enjoyed a meal at the pub last night and then sat around talking, dont know if i can cope with all this activity must be honest though its the pace i like to live at,the new shelter worked great, got some great games planned for today, will probably start with going to the shop and then move on to sitting around talking. that's the planned activity's any way or members can make there own plans,

Must admit I didn't expect to be sat around in a vest top, the weather has been great. We left home in awful conditions, if it keeps up I might let you throw one of my wellies around the field.

It all sounds very tiring, lol.
It's good having regular updates, the joys of dongles and tethering.
I need more pics of the sworm/cluster/group/collection of Dandys set up please.

Got to say we're really enjoying it. I've never seen so many Dandy's in one place. Now I know we're not alone.

Re: Trentfield the official thread
Having a lively leisurely weekend, it's been great to final meet everyone. All thus talk if throwing wellies about sounds far to energetic for me though! Think we may make use of our English Heritage membership later and have a potter over to Gainsborough Old Hall.
