Just pulled out ready for pre chilling.
If nothing else it will keep the ice for the Sloe Gin and Wisniowka frappé.

Re: Christmas Meet 2011
Well folks we are here and set up,if your sat nav tries to take you down any rough mud tracks dont go there, the entrance is signposted and the track goes up an embankment ignore any other instructions ,we wont get the best of the site as the grass is too soft to drive on we have a little bay to ourselves with hard standing, big hammer and strong pegs the toilets and showers near us are acceptable clean and warm, there appears to be some more modern ones and i think there may be a few blocks spread around, first impression is its all right hope to do pictures tomorrow but have encountered delays in setting up,may be out of practise or just getting old.
We have a virgin tesco and three signal so that's ok look forward to you all arriving going to have my tea now.

Re: Christmas Meet 2011
Arrived.
Mike assisted with Dandy. Leaving awning till tomorrow.
Cazz and Eilis (and anyone else) be brighter than me (not difficult)don't just go off satnav,(New technical term Scatnav; satnav that has just dropped you in the sh*t) print off the last couple of miles from Google Maps. The proprietor is not the person to give you directions.
Also try not to arrive in the dark. The fens are pitch black and as all you can see is the road there is no perspective. Also narrow but straight so still high speeds. There is a rumble strip that you can place your nearside wheels on so as to ensure you don't hit the oncoming car, then you just have to hope their doing the same thing!
Just curled up with heater on and electric blanket.
Don't know about the insulation, but the roof lifts more than the Green Un, need to shop for more bungees to pull edge of roof down as well.

Re: Christmas Meet 2011
Pleased to meet the famous infamous whichever Kevin at last, looks like he got a bargain with his dandy, good job he didn't arrive an hour earlier we had one of those storms that build from nowhere, i have picked a few tricks up over the years for nailing awnings down in storms none of which you can use on hard standing, let it be known its highly unlikely i will ever use hard standing again.

Todays weather report from the met office
Rain in the north and west. Mainly dry elsewhere. Windy.

A bright, albeit chilly start across southern and eastern parts of the UK. Cloud increasing here through the day, with rain towards the west later. Rain across western Scotland becoming heavy and persistent. Breezy for all, with gales in north.
Tonight:
Outbreaks of rain edging south into northern England and Wales, with showers following in the north. Elsewhere, mainly dry and rather cloudy. Remaining windy with gales across exposed locations. Mild.
Sunday:
Heavy and persistent rain for western Scotland. Elsewhere, having a cloudy Christmas Day with rain and drizzle, mainly over the hills. Perhaps some brightness in the east. Mild and windy.

We never put the awning up on a hard standing because even rock pegs seem to pull out a lot easier ........ I'm with you Mike and prefer grass when it's windy.
