Re: Trentfield Farm
We have only got one 12 year old at home now, but it would be a bit rubbish for him if there were no other kids to play with, and he hasn't been very well the last couple of months (don't want to say about it on the open forum) so i wouldn't want him not to enjoy it.
Also my other problem of course is travelling long distances for a weekend is against Steves religion i think, so i probably won't be able to come but you never know, i will let you know nearer the time.

Re: Trentfield Farm
Travelling any distance for a weekend isnt something John wants to do either so we have booked for 5 nights arriving on the Wednesday. As for your 12 year old I am sorry to hear he hasn't been well but if you did decide to come maybe you could let one of his friends come with you to keep him company.

Re: Trentfield Farm
His friends are nice enough in small doses, but i'm not sure i would like to have one of them all weekend. I know how to keep my own kids under control but not other peoples. I think i will dodge that.
On a lighter note i have mentioned the meet to Steve and he has just hmmmmmd for now so we will see, it's not till September so i've got a while yet to work on him.

Re: Trentfield Farm
Hi Mike,
No he was supposed to we bought the fishing rod, weights etc. but they havn't done it yet i think they can't work out how to get the worms on without touching them eeeeeeee although your tip of sweetcorn would do them but they just havn't got round to doing it. I think mostly cos they don't know what to do really.
That reminds me that's something else that is in the dandy that can come out if they are not gonna use it.
Yes Helen you are right we wouldn't fit in another kid and bags, you know me so well.

Re: Trentfield Farm
Just received this email from Trentfield
Hi
We've not been in touch for a while, and thought you might like an update on the park.
This season has brought some big changes, with a fully updated toilet block (tiled and heated!), a refurbished and operation laundry, and a better than every looking park.
There has also been some changes in the village, with the arrival of Springhead Brewery, producing traditional cask ales, and they of course do Brewery tours.
The best news! At long last, the Ferry Boat Inn is back under private ownership, Malcolm and Julie are great hosts and have been in residence for about a month. Julies started doing food this weekend, and within such a short time have transformed the pub.

I love heated loo blocks, nothing worse than a cold loo seat the brewery tour sounds like fun and we have a great sounding pub to visit too We seem to be getting very lucky with our meet locations

Re: Trentfield Farm
I was thinking of buying a shelter for the meets, I would buy it myself as I would also use it whilst away with family so it seems unfair to expect others to pay for it but until I get mine or as well as.......for the September meet I was thinking that if Vicki and me face our Dandy's towards each other with awnings on we could use my sun canopy in between to cover the gap as a seating area and open up the front of both awnings if it rains so there will be plenty of sitting room. That's if Vicki thinks its a good idea
